Main purpose of the role.
As a key member of our Global Learning & Development (L&D) team, the Leadership Development Trainer role will be responsible for working across the ICG business brands and the designated senior teams to develop and deliver appropriate Management & Leadership training.
The Leadership Development Trainer will help drive company values and philosophy through training and content development activities that are strategically linked to ICG’s values. The role will be responsible for identifying and addressing our Manager and Leader development needs. The position is responsible for ensuring effective training programs are in place to enable the achievement of desired business results and set KPI’s.
Training programs focus on a variety of topics: including company culture, values, competencies, and management and leadership skills. There will be a requirement to conduct needs assessments, to design and develop training interventions and to work with our bespoke to LMS to ensure we create a blended approach to learning. Working with our Global Leadership Development Lead and the wider L&D Team, this role will also be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of training to ensure a return on investment.
Responsibilities.
- Help colleagues identify specific behaviours that will contribute to service excellence.
- Working with the HR and L&D Team to implement robust performance management training and coach Managers & Leaders to enhance their performance and to improve the performance of colleagues in return.
- Work with the Global Leadership Development Lead to create specific training programs to improve ICG Leadership performance.
- Work with the Global Leadership Development Lead and Senior Leadership team to determine development needs of existing and new in role managers and leaders.
- Design, develop and deliver management development programs to build effective management skills to support the growth of the ICG brands during 2023 and beyond.
- Drive brand values and philosophy in all training and development activities.
- Manage multiple program development projects simultaneously by prioritising project deadlines.
- Tracks course development life cycles: ensuring that problems are addressed, escalated when needed, and resolved quickly.
- Work with the Global Leadership Development Lead to develop participant and instructor materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, job aids, etc).Develop self-paced eLearning & instructor-led training (both in-person and virtual classroom material).
- Work with Training Teams to review all curriculum components annually with subject matter experts based on evaluation and feedback.
- Work with the Global Leadership Development Lead to develop updated curriculums as required by results of annual reviews with Brand Leads and the Senior Team.
- Work with the Operational Leads and Senior Teams to monitor and evaluate our training programmes, assess results, implement enhancements, and provide recommendations for training programme effectiveness.
- Promotes and inform colleagues about all training programs.
- Promote our LMS, to drive colleagues’ engagement and usage.
- Uses effective training methods to ensure employees have a good understanding of desired and expected competencies and can demonstrate the proper knowledge, skills and abilities required to excel in role.
- Administer and deliver core training initiatives which include: the GROW curriculum, Management & Leadership skills and Customer Excellence skills.
- Align current training and development programs to effectively impact KPI’s
- Ensures all training and development activities are strategically linked to ICG values.
- Measure transfer of learning from training courses back to the business.
- Track key business indicators to determine the effectiveness of current training and development programs.
