Workplace wellbeing has become an increasingly important topic in recent years. With a growing understanding of the importance of holistic wellbeing. ICG Medical are placing a focus on the broader aspects of wellbeing to help employees achieve their best selves.

We are incredibly pleased with the recent launch of our very own well-being department, where we aim to explore the five pillars of workplace wellbeing and discuss some approaches that can help you cultivate a happier and healthier workplace.

While previously focusing on 1-2-1 sessions and workshops, we have now directed our focus on a more holistic wellbeing approach and have a number of activities planned throughout the year to keep up with the business as it evolves.

Breaking the stigma around mental health

The aim is to break down the stigma surrounding mental health in the workplace. By promoting a culture of acceptance and understanding, employees will feel more comfortable sharing their struggles and seeking help when they need it.

The Five Pillars of Workplace Wellbeing

Mental Wellbeing

This pillar is concerned with how we think and feel, including our emotions, thoughts, and attitudes towards life. Mental wellbeing is essential for a healthy workplace and can be achieved through various activities such as mindfulness and meditation.

Physical Wellbeing

This pillar is focused on the physical health of employees. It includes activities such as exercise, healthy eating, and taking regular breaks to move and stretch throughout the day.

Emotional Wellbeing:

Emotional wellbeing is about understanding and managing our emotions. This pillar encourages employees to identify their feelings and develop healthy coping mechanisms to deal with challenging situations.

Spiritual Wellbeing

This pillar is concerned with finding a sense of purpose and meaning in life. It involves activities such as practicing gratitude and self-reflection.

Social Wellbeing

This pillar is about creating a psychological safe place – creating a supportive workplace culture where employees feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement or retribution.

Approaches to Workplace Wellbeing
